We are a blank check company. While we may pursue an initial business combination opportunity in any business, industry, sector or geographical location, we intend to focus on businesses where we believe we can create and unlock value through our operational expertise, industry contacts, and ability to implement systems and controls. In particular, we expect, although are not required, to seek an initial business combination with a target in the steel, metals and metal processing (“SMMP”) sector given our officers’ and directors’ have significant experience in the SMMP sector. Calibre Group was founded by Jim Tumulty, Ed Siegel, and Jeremy Breazzano in 2014 and focuses on lower middle market investments in companies operating in the SMMP sector. Calibre Group’s founders and team members have combined decades’ of experience employing a detailed, operational understanding of businesses in the SMMP sector, either through direct operational expertise or direct investing, or both. Our management team has deep experience across the entire spectrum of SMMP businesses, from small single operation service centers to large integrated producers, and from distressed to highly profitable companies. Calibre Group’s owners and Board of Directors have over 120 years of combined experience providing M&A, financial, strategic and labor advisory services.
